Zero Single-Use Plastic
Single-use plastic is not permitted across the event operation at Atlantis, The Palm. The resort's on-site water bottling plant produces 800 litres per hour, eliminating over two million single-use plastic bottles per year. PLA compostable straws have replaced plastic straws since 2019.

Every menu across Atlantis, The Palm includes a minimum of five dishes where the main ingredient is locally sourced, organic or certified sustainable. Winnow AI food waste tracking technology has reduced food waste from buffets by over 40%. Guest numbers are reconfirmed before every meal to minimise surplus.

Electric buggies are used across the resort to eliminate unnecessary vehicle emissions during events. Outdoor venues are utilised where weather permits to reduce energy consumption from air conditioning and lighting. 2,172 solar panels contribute 1.18 MW of renewable solar energy to the resort's operation.

Over 80% of cleaning products used across the resort are biodegradable. All office paper at Atlantis, The Palm is sourced from FSC-certified suppliers. Sustainable cleaning protocols apply across every event space before, during and after use.

Waste Reduction and Recycling
Atlantis, The Palm reduced waste to landfill by 53.9% in 2022 compared to 2021. Innovative recycling programmes include discarded oyster shells repurposed into coral reef structures and 72,000 litres of used cooking oil recycled into biofuel annually. Aquaventure holds a five-star rating as a regional leader for waste recycling practices.
